The Sardinian warbler. Just a little bit of history, which is necessary to present a similar dish. The warbler bird was a highly prized in ancient times (because of the meat tender and tasty) and highly sought after in the tables of wealthy Palermo who went hunting. It was cooked stuffing and then baked in the oven (place in a baking dish with a ponytail upwards). What have they experienced the clever housewives Palermo to copy this delicious dish? They substituted the Sardinian warbler, poor food and readily available from their husbands fishermen. They have adapted perfectly copying also the way to serve it: just like the warbler ... with a ponytail upwards ...
