A little 'history:
Fascinating is the history of this cake who was born in Italy, perhaps in Tuscany or the Veneto.
Many are the legends associated with this dessert as good as mysterious to which were attributed great aphrodisiac.
The most accepted version of the history of tiramisu 'places his birth in the late seventeenth century.
The cake was born in Siena when the Grand Duke of Tuscany, Cosimo III de 'Medici decided to trasferisi for a few days in the city. I decided to make pastry Siena, in honor of the Grand Duke a cake that represented what were the characteristics of the noble. It had to be a sweet "important" that it contained within it simple but tasty ingredients, it was important that it was gorgeous and delicious as the noble loved the sweetness. It was thus realized that the current tiramisu then, in honor of the Grand Duke was just called "soup of the Duke."
The noble appreciated greatly the ability of the Sienese pastry and delicious taste of sweet and so decided to take the recipe in Florence.
So it was that the "soup of the Duke" became famous, until you pass the borders of the Grand Duchy to arrive at Treviso and then to Venice.
The legend tells that became the sweet beloved by his courtiers, as attributed exciting and aphrodisiac properties.
It spread into the habit of consuming large portions before each sexual encounter.
And then the "soup of the Duke" changed its name and took that very suggestive of "tiramisu".
